Music
These four songs were all recorded live. "Shemp Time" and "Me and Baby Brother" were recorded live at Jazz _ Jack's on Halloween of 2008. "Tell Me Something Good" and "Fried Grease" were recorded live at The Walnut Room on January 23rd, 2010. Check back often for new songs and updated recordings.
Full Stop's influences range from the very obscure to the very mainstream. With common interests in everything from pure funk to the vaguely folkish junk-rock of Beck, the band's cohesive sound and sharpened chemistry lends itself to a dynamic sound rooted in the past but directed toward the future.

FullStop forrmed in the late summer of 2005 with musicians from around the Denver metro area. The Colorado-based band had one agreed mission upon its inception: To play funk music that sounded great and felt great to play.
A solid rhythm section (Chris Long on the bass and Neil Matlock on the drums) backs a trio of talented soloists (Seth Garland on sax, Brian Baxter on keys, and Ryan Phelps on guitar). Brian Rovegno adds his soulful vocals to the mix; the combined years of experience and chemistry that the band shares helps create a tight, fun, and attention-getting sound which the band hopes to bring to the dance floors of the Rockies for years to come.
Full Stop is getting ready for the summer season. The band makes its return to the Walnut Room on July 17th. Be sure to mark your calendar (if you live in 1990), otherwise add this to your BlackBerry, IPhone, Facebook, MySpace, or whatever other addictive bit of social technology you use to remind yourself of things we used to keep track of in our heads 10 or 20 years ago.
Full Stop is open for suggestions and requests, so if you take the time to read this, send us an email. We're always looking for great new songs on which to affix our funky brand of groove. Visit the Contacts page for more details about getting in touch with the band.

The Rex Lounge
Denver, CO
On one of the biggest party days of the year, folks needed no extra incentive to cram into The Rex for a Full Stop St. Patty's celebration.
The band played a blistering first set -- nearly two hours long. When the fellas took the stage for the second set, the attitude was loose and rowdy. Even though the second set was cut short due totechnical issues, the Irish Car Bombs that were flowing from the bar, combined with the timeless groove of the 60's and 70's soul music from the first set, seemed to render the crowd oblivious.
